Communication and Access

We are working hard to develop our lines of communication with parents, carers and the wider community.

See below for our current systems and procedures to aid this process.

Parents and carers are welcome to drop into school at any time to ask questions, seek advice or share a concern.

At Gordon Primary, we use a range of methods to communicate with parents, carers and the wider community.  These include:

•      Face-to-face communications  (e.g. meetings with teachers or member of management; showcase afternoons; parent information evenings; assemblies; drop-in sessions; school events/activities)
•      Letters
•      Newsletters- one per month
•      phone calls
•      school website
•      Facebook
•      Email
•      Group-call texts and emails
•      Handbook
•      Homework diaries/ jotters
•      School notice-boards
•      Radio announcement (e.g. emergency school closures)
•      Local media (to showcase positive news and events)
•      Surveys
